SENTIMENTAL. GENUINE. ROMANTIC
The journey to where I am today was not a linear one.
Everyone has their reason why they are where they are in life and what their driving force is, fueling their passions and desires. For me, it’s the beauty of hopeless romanticism- seeing and believing that everything around us is embraced in warmth and love.
The warmest and deepest love that I have ever felt is that of my late grandfather. In his youth, he invested in a Zenit film camera which immediately became his prized possession. He documented milestones of our family and spent hours in his in-home darkroom developing the film. Every photo of me as a child was taken on that same camera. And now, that camera belongs to me.
I frame moments, people, and places in a way that reveals an intimate narrative between the viewer and the photos. My photography style is intentional and stems from visceral imagery with aspects of fine art photojournalism. I want my images to make you feel something warm and romantic all while communicating something that cannot be spoken!
As Ansel Adams beautifully said,
“A great photograph is one that fully expresses what one feels, in the deepest sense, about what is being photographed.”
